Want to start learning a language? Visit your library!

Getting started with learning another language can be daunting and private lessons can be expensive, however there are many great FREE resources out there to get you started.  My latest find is located at the Collier County Public Library, which offers both in-print resources and a great way to get started online through Mango Languages.

Mango Languages is an online language-learning system teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages.  While it does not replace face-to-face interaction, important to the language learning process, it is a great way to get started!  If you have a Collier County Public Library card, the resource is FREE.

To try Mango for FREE without a Library card, visit:  http://www.mangolanguages.com/

To access the free subscription site through the Collier County Public Library, find your library card and visit: http://libraries.mangolanguages.com/collier/login?u=472465

The Collier County Public Library also offers resources for those in need of learning English via USA Learns.  Visit the Library homepage to get started!  Look under the heading “Popular Links.” http://www.colliergov.net/index.aspx?page=108
